What is Modern Slavery?
Modern slavery includes:
Forced or unpaid labour
Human trafficking
Domestic servitude
Debt bondage
Sexual or criminal exploitation
Reporting Concerns
If modern slavery is suspected:
1. Report immediately to your line manager or the Registered Manager.
2. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.
3. Concerns are escalated to Oxfordshire Safeguarding Team and, if needed, the CQC.
4. Whistleblowing protections are in place to support those who speak up.
Training & Awareness
All staff receive training on identifying, responding to, and reporting concerns.
Regular updates and reflective discussions help maintain awareness.
Key indicators include signs of control, fear, unpaid work, isolation, or unsuitable living conditions.
Supply Chain Responsibility
We conduct due diligence on all suppliers and partners.
We require written assurance that suppliers uphold ethical practices and human rights.
Any breach may result in contract termination.
Annual Modern Slavery Statement
We publish a Modern Slavery Statement in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, outlining:
